This weekend sees the UAE celebrate Islamic New Year.
Workers in the public and private sectors are set to enjoy a three-day weekend, returning to work on Monday August 24.
During the national holiday parking will be free for drivers in Abu Dhabi.
The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) of the Department of Municipalities and Transport announced that parking will be free of charge from Sunday August 23 until Monday August 24.
Motorist are urged no to park their vehicles in prohibited areas and not to clock vehicles, trafiic fow or residences.
Public bus schedules will also be reduced on Sunday August 23 following a Friday schedule with reduced buses and frequency.
