Nurseries and childcare centres in Abu Dhabi can reopen with precautionary and preventive measures in place
An announcement was made on Thursday evening (August 29) by the UAE’s Ministry of Education and the National Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA).

Approval to open will only be given after they meet certain health and safety standards, according to the Tweet from Abu Dhabi Media Office.
These include temperature tests and regular COVID-19 tests for employees
Other measures include children being grouped by age in “bubbles” and all toys and games must be sterilised. Parents need to provide meals for kids and businesses will be inspected regularly.
Nurseries, schools and universities closed their doors in March as part of UAE-wide efforts to halt the spread of Covid-19.
