Beat the heat while waiting for a ride

Sheltered bus stops in Abu Dhabi have reopened to passengers.

The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) of the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) have announced the reopening of 145 bus shelters across the emirate.

A total of 144 shelters will open in Abu Dhabi, 21 in Al Ain and 10 in Al Dhafra.

A capacity of three passengers per shelter is in place and all passengers are required to wear a mask and maintain safe social distancing.

All shelters will be sanitised regularly to ensure public safety and stop the spread of COVID-19.

The Abu Dhabi bus services were recently upgraded and have launched free Wi-Fi for all passengers travelling in the city.
