Imagine education with no fixed lessons and no teachers.
Instead, all the materials are made available for free, allowing to educate yourself, learn from other students and prepare to enter the working world upskilled.
That’s exactly what’s coming to Abu Dhabi with the opening of 42 Abu Dhabi coding school.
Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) has announced the opening of the first coding and computer programming school in the Middle East, in the UAE capital.
Opening early next year, 42 Abu Dhabi aims to create a future ready workforce by fast tracking people through coding and programming as part of the Ghadan 21 UAE government accelerator programme.
The innovative coding school, with 20 campuses around the world, will be located in the Mina Zayed warehouses district and takes a different approach to education.
Those taking part will be enrolled in a tuition-free coding and programming education pioneered by Frenchman Xavier Niel, who founded the 42 Network’s inaugural campus in Paris, in 2013.
Students need no prior experience in coding, the only entry requirements are that you have to be over the age of 18 and must register by visiting www.42AbuDhabi.ae.
Once fully operational the school will host up to 750 students learning in a peer-to-peer model.
