Tonight (Sunday, December 20) will see the Abu Dhabi Festival 2021 premiere a special ballet performance.

The co-produced piece with the world-renowned American Ballet Theatre is part of the world premiere ABT Today: The Future Starts Now, which salutes American Ballet Theatre’s 80 years and Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation’s 25 years of creativity, innovation and diversity.

ABT Today: The Future Starts Now is programmed by ABT artistic director Kevin McKenzie and is an online celebration including excerpts from the full production of three separate pieces created in quarantined ‘ballet bubbles’.

Creators include choreographers Gemma Bond, Darrell Grand Moultrie and Pam Tanowitz.
