Abu Dhabi announces the resumption of intercity bus services

The emirate is now better connected with public transport

Six intercity bus services have resumed in Abu Dhabi to better connect areas of the emirate.

The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) of the Department of Municipalities and Transport in Abu Dhabi announced that services between areas of Abu Dhabi will resume from the start of the new year.

Relaunched services include the X90 connecting Abu Dhabi city and Al Ain and services X60, X62, X86, X87 and X88 travelling between the Al Dhafra region and Abu Dhabi city.

At this time these resumed services will run at twice daily and changes will be made in the coming weeks depending on customer demand.

Bus services have resumed across Abu Dhabi with strict safety procedures to protect passengers and drivers.

Strict social distancing and capacity caps are in place as well as the mandatory wearing of masks and regular sanitisation.

Recently, a new park and ride system was also launched to encourage drivers to make use of public transport with the launch of Abu Dhabi’s road toll system.
