Cheap flights to the Maldives: Wizz Air to Male for Dhs359

Planning a trip to the Maldives this month? You can now get cheap flights to the Maldives with Wizz Air Abu Dhabi.

The budget airline carrier started its new route to Male, Maldives on October 4 with prices starting from just Dhs359.

Throughout the month of October, Wizz Air will be flying to the Maldives every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. With plans to increase the number of flights to six times a week in November and then offer daily flights from December.

Wizz Air flies out from Terminal 1 of the Abu Dhabi Airport (AUH) and the new route to Male will be flown on an Airbus A321neo aircraft.

Holiday-makers can grab their cheap tickets to the Maldives on wizzair.com or on the mobile app.

The new route comes as part of Wizz Air’s expansion plans (so you can expect even more cheap flight routes soon).

Michael Berlouis, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi Managing Director, said: “As we continue with our expansion plans and work towards making Abu Dhabi a hub for aviation, the new route will help us connect more international tourists with the city and give them the opportunity to stop off and explore the amazing experiences it has to offer.”

Dubai-based passengers nabbing cheap flights to the Maldives with Wizz Air can make use of the airline’s free bus service. Running between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, anyone with a Wizz Air ticket (that states it includes bus fare) can ride on the service.
