Cheesy arancini balls at McGettigan’s

Forget about the diet for one weekend and get the chops around balls of Arancini cheese at McGettigans. Deep fried spheres of melted, yellowy goodness are sprinkled with Parmesan and basil oil before being set on bed of spicy tomato sauce. They’re part of the Friday brunch, so check it out.

Erupting with flavour and taste, the lava nachos at this quirky spot is a must order. Tortilla chips are topped with seasoned ground beef, black beans, lashing of mixed cheese and pico de gallo. That’s before they’re loaded with bell pepper, spring onions, RFC salsa and sour cream. But due to the sheer size of the dish this isn’t a one person mission. Bring the crew to take down this mega beast of a meal.

Wagyu Tenderloin at Cyan Brasserie

With a prime cut of beef little needs done to elevate it and make it a dish worth eating. At Cyan Brasserie, the Wagyu tenderloin is steak as steak should be –cooked perfectly. It’s served with seared foie gras, just enough to add to the dish without making it too indulgent, the crispy, fluffy duck fat chips and a rich shallot gravy that pulls the whole thing together. It’s a real delight. It’s not cheap but it’s worth every fils..
