Etihad launches express verification system

They’ll even pick up your bags from home

Etihad is getting people back in the skies quicker than ever with a new system that validates medical documents prior to arrival at the airport.

Passengers flying out of the capital with the Abu Dhabi carrier can now opt into a Verified to Fly programme that includes fast track check-in.

Travellers can sign up to the digital service via the Etihad website, and once the relevant documents have been submitted for approval, will be cleared for an express route through the terminal.

Verified to Fly is already available for all passengers departing Abu Dhabi (excluding those travelling to China).

Etihad services departing Amman, Beirut, Dhaka and Manila will soon provide the same service.

Still find airport processes too much of a hassle? How about completing check-in verification from your own front door?

Etihad, in partnership with DUBZ, is rolling out a service that will see special agents hand-deliver boarding passes and luggage tags to the homes of passengers in Abu Dhabi.

They’ll even take the bags back to the airport with them, while seat selection can also be made and extra baggage allowance purchased if required.

Guests who want to board their flight early and receive their luggage first can add priority boarding and priority bag tags for an additional fee.

Once at Abu Dhabi International Airport, all non-transit passengers that used the home check-in service can skip the queues bag-free.

Check in agents operate between 8am and 8pm, and need to be booked at least seven hours prior to flight departure.
