If you’re happy and you know it… It’s time to head to the Louvre Abu Dhabi for the opening of a new exhibition that the whole family can enjoy.
Louvre Abu Dhabi’s Children’s Museum is reopening Friday June 18 with a fascinating exhibition: Emotions!
Running until 2023, Emotions! helps kids identify and explore their feelings through artwork and immersive experiences. This artistic adventure will feature ten artworks and multiple interactive stations to help them communicate how they feel – a very important stage of child development.
The adventure begins when guests create a personal profile and are given a wristband to collect points through different activities and challenges. They are then exposed to the different artworks through observation games and as they travel through the exhibition, they learn the hidden details and stories behind each work.
Designed for children aged four to ten, the exhibition combines entertainment with education across three floors of immersive experiences, games and interactive play areas.
The interactive games include digital and touchless experiences, with self-led tutorials that are virtually presented by three young Emirati artists. Guests learn how emotions can be expressed through drawing, collage, and 3D art. They will also learn about body language through a movement-recognition game.
Kids between the ages of four and ten are starting to develop their sense of self and are beginning to understanding their emotions and how to express them. The exhibition aims to help them learn empathy, open expression, and letting go of bad feelings. Plus, it’s fun.
Visitors who are 18 years and younger can visit Louvre Abu Dhabi for free, and, for accompanying adults, access to the children’s museum comes with the regular admission cost.
Be the first to try this new exhibition on Friday June 18 for tonnes of learning fun.
