Abu Dhabi’s largest sporting facility opens its doors

Jiu-jitsu, zumba and more at Mubadala Sports Centre

Are you ready to take your hooks, mounts and rolls to the next level?

Mubadala Sports Centre has thrown open its doors, and fans of combat sports will not want to miss out on what’s inside.

The facility, the largest sporting complex in Abu Dhabi, will home the training of professional jiu-jitsu fighters, as well as the next generation of stars from the UAE.

Located in Al Bahia on the Abu Dhabi-Dubai motorway, the state-of-art-fitness centre is spread over two floors and is home to more than 200 pieces of cardiovascular and resistance training equipment, and it is intended that two similar gyms will be opened in Dubai and Al Ain by the end of the year
Not into jiu-jistu?

Then don’t worry as the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation and Mubadala Investment Company joint collaboration has a number of activities for you to get involved including specialised group fitness classes like spinning, yoga and zumba.

There is also a dedicated women’s gym and combat sports practice where girls can hone their skills.

The news of the opening of the UAE’s Jiu-Jitsu Federation’s second venue for the sport comes hot on the heels of the announcements that the Brazilian pavilion at Expo 2020 will host the world’s largest jiu-jitsu training session on November 15, and that Abu Dhabi had secured the rights to host the 13th edition of the World Professional Jiu-Jutsu Championships in the same month after the successful hosting of the tournament in April this year.
