Bars and restaurants in the capital are now allowed to provide live entertainment.

A circular sent from Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT) on Sunday July 18 states that venues will be issued entertainment permits for pianists, oud players, guitarists, a player of any single musical instrument, a singer or a DJ.

Only one artist can perform at any one time and they must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

A negative PCR test result one week before the event will also be required for all artists and anyone working at the venue.

Venues must also thermal check everyone, and ensure a minimum of two metres social distancing.
