If you like excellent Mediterranean food, then you’re going to love what’s on the menu at Medi Terra: the latest addition to an already buzzing café scene at Al Bateen.
Walk through Al Bateen marina and you’ll find loads of awesome places to eat, sip coffee, and treat yourself. Medi Terra is yet another delicious addition that definitely doesn’t disappoint.
Walk through the marina for calming views of boats and twinkling lights on the water, then head over to this new spot, which is nestled off to one side. If you’re lucky, you’ll find yourself seated on the patio, which is closed off and air-conditioned during the summer. Yellow fairy lights and indoor plants create a pretty greenhouse-garden vibe that invites you to stay as long as you like.
The dishes are as easy on the eye as the venue; practically imploring you to stop your friends from taking their first bites so you can snap a quick pic of the table.
When you do finally get stuck in, start with truffle cheese fries. Crispy chips drizzled in truffle cheese sauce, veal jus and truffle pesto is enough to make your eyes bulge out of your head before you’ve even taken a bite.
For mains, we recommend the spaghetti shrimp with tomato sauce, featuring tender, tangy shellfish, basil, and parmesan cheese tossed together with a generous helping of pasta. More into your red meats? Opt for the beef medallions in veal jus mushroom sauce with creamy mashed potato.
After so much food, you might need to take a break before ordering dessert, but don’t leave without trying the tiramisu. Strong coffee flavour plus chunks of dark chocolate and a creamy filling? It’s the perfect light ending.
While there are so many great options to choose from when dining in Al Bateen, Medi Terra is certainly not one to miss.
