Geek Kitchen Restaurant

A cool and quirky restaurant filled with pop culture references

We’re firm believers that if you’re going to have a theme then you should go all-in.

If it’s a beach bar then we expect sand, street food shouldn’t be served on nice white plates, and if you decide to launch something called Geek Kitchen Restaurant, we expect to find plenty of things to please our inner (and outer) nerd.

Thankfully, there are Funko Pops everywhere from superheroes to pop stars and everything in-between. The walls are also adorned with loads of cartoons depicting Star Wars characters, Avengers and more (all tucking into food).

We spend far longer than we should looking at the hundreds of Funko Pops on display in a huge cabinet while we wait for our friends who are driving around trying to find somwhere called Greek Kitchen…

The menu is brilliantly designed to look like a comic book. We’re already in love with this place before we even order.

We’re here on a weekend morning and are looking forward to a late breakfast.

When the food starts arriving, chaos breaks out at our table. The kids in our group are very excited by the pancakes, which come with chocolate Batman and Iron Man stencils on the plates.

While the little ones fight over who gets each one we’re more interested in the food.

The good news is the pancakes are excellent. Thick, fluffy and soaked in chocolate and syrup, they go down a treat.

Equally enjoyable is the Hulk avo smash which comes in a massive portion (much like the Marvel character himself) and is loaded with avocado and soft eggs. It’s so big we don’t manage to finish it all.

We also order a thick slab of banana French toast, which is a real showstopper – totally sweet and indulgent.

The highlight, however is the benny brisket. An English muffin is topped with with succulent pulled beef and soft, runny eggs.

It’s absolutely exquisite.

So, with substance as well as style in abundance, Geek Kitchen Restaurant is the hero we never knew we needed.
