From Time Out Abu Dhabi Eating Out 2010
It’s a regal name but this cultured chain deserves a fair bit of praise for its decent food and classy service. A slightly shabby exterior means some people are put off, but it’s their loss. In spite of this, it is pretty much always full and the stall selling Indian knick-knacks at the entrance adds to the hectic atmosphere and general sense of fun. The booths upstairs offer a bit of privacy, surrounded by carved screens and doors to be knocked on, but the food is the main pull and India Palace is always a safe bet. A cut above the average street-side eatery, we’re not saying it’s award quality but the spicing is refined, the meat better quality than most and it’s all still pretty cheap. A good blend of hotel quality and backstreet efficiency.
