After a spot with a view? Seafood restaurant Catch has one of the most beautiful dining rooms in the capital.
It has light, is nautical-themed and is very stylishly done. It overlooks the pristine beach at Nation Riviera so you can gaze at the blue waters of the Gulf from the window or on the decked terrace, if the weather allows.
We recomment starting with the spicy salmon maki roll, which is dramatically presented on a bamboo stand. The neatly packed rolls are filled with wonderful pink fish, creamy avocado and a hot sauce that means it lives up to its name. Coated in bright green tobiko, each bite contains layers of textures and flavours which slowly come through one after the other.
It’s a super dish is a good example of just how sensational all the sushi is here.
From the main courses, try the pan-roasted sea bass served with coconut chutney, carrot purée and a turmeric butter sauce. It looks like a work of art, and the delicate fish tastes so fresh you’ll think it must have been plucked from the sea minutes earlier. The chutney adds a bit of bite and interest, while the sweet creamy carrot is pure luxury.
Meanwhile, the roast beef is a high quality cut of meat and the truffle-infused sweet potato mash goes perfectly with it.
It’s the fish and views we recommend coming for, but the rest of the menu matches up pretty well, too.
