Byblos Sur Mer

Pretty plates of high-quality Lebanese food in a quaint setting

The menu at fine-dining Lebanese restaurant Byblos Sur Mer is extensive to say the least and with a beautiful marina setting and glittering skyline in front of you, you’ll thoroughly enjoy eating your way through it.

There are a number of set menus that are an affordable way to sample many dishes (as that’s totally what you should be doing when it comes to Lebanese dishes) and many different grills, salads and hot and cold mezze.

Staff will recommend going for one of those and, to be honest, it’s a good way to see what the restaurant is all about. At the very least you should try a mixed grill.

The signature mezze selection is full of creative dishes as well as an impossibly smooth and wonderfully garlicky hummus, salty shanklish cheese (mixed with tomato, onion and parsley), and batata jabaliyeh, which is totally brilliant.

For mains, if you’re not going for a full mixed grill, try the shish taouk, which is marinated in a fantastic mix of delicious spices, and is made even better by the medley of vegetables, breads and labneh that comes with it.

Service is pretty much flawless, and we’re sure you’ll thoroughly enjoy the authentic flavours of each of the immaculately presented plates.
