Royal Orchid

It’s not often that you find a multi-cuisine restaurant that does it well, but Royal Orchid is one of them, offering authentic Thai alongside well executed Chinese dishes. The Salam Street branch (there is another
in the Hilton Abu Dhabi) is a bit out of the way, tucked behind an ADNOC petrol station in the corner between Salam Street and Electra, which could go some way towards explaining how quiet it often is. The décor and furnishings could probably do with being spruced up, but if the focus of your visit is a good feed at a decent price then this is the place to go. It’s inexpensive, but that’s no reflection on the quality of food, which is always outstanding – particularly where the Thai dishes are concerned.
