Resto

Style wise, with its brown and cream stripes on the outside walls, there’s nothing like Resto in Abu Dhabi

From Time Out Abu Dhabi Eating Out 2010

There aren’t too many 24-hour restaurants in Abu Dhabi, certainly few that deal in anything less than grease and heart failure. However, the chances of stumbling across Resto by accident at any time of the day are hardly high. A little out of the way, the restaurant itself is a chic enough affair, with splashes of deep red, brown and cream providing a lively setting. In one corner a rather limp buffet, heavy on grilled meats and salads of the Lebanese variety, suffers from having to sit too long between diners. It’s best to stick to the 24-hour a la carte menu, compiled of a standard mix of Mediterranean and Indian fare, which offers a fresher option, even if it is concealed in a strange ‘hinge’ menu. At its heart, though, Resto offers something you won’t find anywhere else in the city: decent food at any hour of the day. However, whether anyone will ever take it up on its offer is another matter.
