When dining at a buffet restaurant, it can sometimes be difficult to decide whether the food is actually any good, as there’s so much on offer that, in the end, it can be hard to sum up the best dishes. That’s how we view The Olive Branch – the buffet-style restaurant at the Mafraq Hotel. The cuisine is predominantly Mediterranean and they’re open all day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The décor is bright and breezy, and the furnishings consist of simple, light timber with bursts of different shades of green that add to the Mediterranean vibe. There is also a funky green mosaic wall that’s a nice backdrop. Service is prompt and there’s a range of different dishes to choose from (as there should be at any good buffet, of course) – all of them fresh.
