Nautilus

Yas Hotel Abu Dhabi

From Time Out Abu Dhabi Eating Out 2010

Until now, seafood dining options in the capital have been dominated by one or two downtown restaurants, most notably Finz. However, the opening of the Yas Marina F1 circuit, and its accompanying glitzy hotel, has brought a new contender to the table. Of all the restaurants on Yas Island, Nautilus is the most likely to live up to its high profile surroundings. Location-wise, it benefits from being positioned away from the rest of the hotel’s eateries, which are lined up together like a whitewashed calorie highway.

Nautilus sits alone and superior on the edge of the marina, overlooking the super-yachts and affording the sense that you’ve arrived in every way. Visually, it’s as eye-catching as the hotel’s LED exterior; pure white and smooth, as if you’ve opened a door onto the Jetsons film set. The only downside, however, is value for money. While the food is fantastic – the octopus starter and dover sole stood out in particular – it’ll take a confident wallet to eat out here and not feel the pinch.
