If you’re looking for a foolproof night out in Abu Dhabi train your sights on The Warehouse. With consistently brilliant vibes and even better bar bites, it’s the perfect spot for a fun night with mates or a catch-up with colleagues.
You’ll find The Warehouse at Pearl Rotana Capital Centre, near ADNEC. The location isn’t the first place you’d think of for a night on the town but it’s well worth the short trip from downtown to Al Rawdah for the shrimp sliders alone (we’ll get back to those in a minute).
Despite the unusual location, The Warehouse is almost always busy. This spot is a badly kept secret, with groups converging to watch sport or catch up over glasses of grape. Inside, the music is upbeat and the décor makes you feel like you’re kicking back inside a giant grape cellar.
Back to the food. The portions are certainly substantial, but it’s not size over execution. Start with proper Parmesan fries: crisp and covered in a generous helping of fresh cheese, they’re almost a meal of their own.
Those aforementioned shrimp sliders come as six so-called mini sliders. There’s nothing mini about them, with a generous helping of cheese, lettuce and crispy fried shrimp stuffed in full-sized soft buns. Two sliders would probably suffice, but we’re hardly complaining.
Warehouse’s wagyu burger is another top pick, crammed with toppings and served with an ample side of chips.
If you’ve got room (and aren’t returning your focus to the grape beverage selection), make time for a bucket of churros, served with jam, chocolate and whipped cream.
There’s a whole fistful of reasons this spot has previously been named Time Out Abu Dhabi’s Best Bar. Its crown is anything but slipping.
