Outside is really where you want to be here. With the weather cooler now, you can make the most of the bar’s al fresco seating. By day, it’s bright and airy, with colourful splashes and the perfect backdrop of white sand and blue sea. And by night, it becomes one of the city’s most atmospheric hangouts. It’s dark and moody, with twinkling lights casting a warm glow, which also creates a great ambience for a romantic soirée.
Although there are few finer al fresco spots in the city, there’s also inside seating, which has a different feel altogether – far more formal, with white tablecloths and drape curtains framing huge windows. This area is better suited to dining, if visiting the restaurant for its fusion take on Cuban and Chinese cuisine.
But when the sun goes down, the terrace is where it’s all happening. Regular events are held out here, including La Noche Beach Terrace Party on a Thursday, that brings you R&B and Latin tunes from the DJs to really get the weekend started.
At other times, this is simply a venue for stylish, outdoor catch-ups. The city’s most glamorous flock here, drawn in by the selection of mixed beverages as much as the great setting.
Tapas-style dishes will keep you going if you get peckish, plus there’s an impressive ceviche bar if you’re in the mood for fresh seafood.
