Abu Dhabi’s museums and cultural sites have a set of guidelines to follow to make sure they can reopen.
The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT) has put a series of stringent measures in place for all sites.
Inspectors will visit each venue before approving the relaunch.
Museums and cultural sites were closed alongside most other public places in the capital in a bid to stop the spread of COVID-19.
Bars, restaurants, malls and hotel beaches have now reopened, while, at the time of writing, parks, beaches and attractions remain closed.
Abu Dhabi Media Office announced the guidelines for the sites in a tweet.

They include social distancing measures, glass partitions installed where possible, sterilisers and thermal detection devices at entrances, and a maximum visit time of three hours.
All staff must have daily and periodic temperature checks and cannot return to work unless they’ve tested negative for COVID-19, the facilities must be cleaned regularly, all touch screens must be removed and guides must be digital rather than printed.
The total number of people inside must not exceed 40 percent of each site’s capacity, staff must wear masks and gloves and there must be an isolation room for any suspected cases.
In addition, all activities, workshops, classes or other group activities cannot take place.
