Pierre Gagnaire to create menu for Louvre Abu Dhabi’s new restaurant

The famous French chef will be behind Fouquet’s at the museum

Abu Dhabi will welcome a stylish new restaurant in 2020, bringing together three of its most famous names. 

Legendary French chef Pierre Gagnaire will be behind themenu at Fouquet’s a new brasserie at Louvre Abu Dhabi

The Parisian brasserie, which has just celebrated its 120th birthday, will open at the Saadiyat Island Museum early next year. 

Gagnaire was prevosuly behind the super-fancy Reflets at Dubai Festival City and still looks after the city’s Pierre’s Bistro & Bar. Back in France he’s owner of his epnoymous restaurant in Paris.

He will curate the menu for Fouquet’s, which already has some of his dishes on the menu in it’s branches in Pars, Toulouse and Marrakech. 

The restaurant, run by Barriere Group, which has hotels and retsaurants around the world, is known for its dark wooden panneling, deep red and black seating and chandeliers, which will be quite the contrast the modern and mininal surroundings at Louvre. 

Manuel Rabate, director of Louvre Abu Dhabi, says: “Abu Dhabi is known for its collaborations with some of the world’s premier brands and this partnership with Barriere Group is yet another fine example. With the opening of Fouquet’s at Louvre Abu Dhabi next year, the museum continues to bring unique and exceptional experiences to Saadiyat Island.”
