For anyone looking to check into a hotel, unpacking their bags then not having to worry about anything else for the duration of their stay, Abu Dhabi’s Rixos resort is the place for you.

Abu Dhabi’s first (and at the time of writing, only) completely all-inclusive resort is perfect for couples, groups of friends and families, with loads of restaurants and bars, a spa, gym and a kids’ club – as well as the hotel’s private beach along the golden Saadiyat sands.

The vast resort has 366 rooms and suites as well as villas. You can choose a room that either looks out on the beach or gardens, or has direct pool access. Some villas also have their own private pools.

When it comes to eating, there’s the all-day Turquoise restaurant as well as the à la carte seafood venue Mermaid, Turkish eatery Orient, colourful beachside dining at People’s, the Italian restaurant L’Olivio and the immersive Japanese-themed Aja Asian & Teppenyaki. You’ll also find live bands and DJs playing across the bars.

If somehow you need to be even more chilled, book into the Turkish hammam-inspired Anjana Spa, which has male and female areas and a couples’ suite. As for keeping fit, there’s a full gum, tennis courts and group fitness classes.

If you want to check in and switch off, this island escape is the place for you.
