Chill out at the Zayed Sports City skating rink
Feeling hot, hot, hot? Head to Zayed Sports City, where every skating level is welcome. This is still quite literally the best place to cool off in the capital. A perfect way to beat the heat, just be prepared for the odd bump and bruise when taking a slip. Hold on to those little hands mums and dads, chances are you’ll need them to hold you up!

Eat all you can manage at Dino’s Pizza Night
What kid don’t love a pizza? And at the weekend, the Italian favourite is a must-have treat. Even better when the whole gang can tuck into as much as they can stomach. Get unlimited pizzas at Dino’s with a choice of six toppings served with a sharing antipasto platter, cappuccino zuppa, and Dino’s signature tiramisu. Spend Dhs140 with soft beverages, or upgrade to Dhs165 and get two house beverages too. Even the teenagers shouldn’t want to raid the fridge after this meal.

Jump around at BOUNCE Abu Dhabi
Looking for fun things do with the kids this weekend? Kids who happen to have seemingly inexhaustible levels of energy even after a full week at school? There are heaps of activities on offer at BOUNCE Abu Dhabi including the capital’s “super tramp”. This beast is four times the size of a standard trampoline and can generate a force of over 14Gs, which is what a fighter pilot feels. Kiddos can also unleash all their pent-up energy in the parkour zone. Whether they want to do a flip or two in the air on the performance trampolines, run vertically up a wall or simply bounce around on the massive free jumping area, the sky’s the limit (or the roof of its building, at the very least).

Ramp up your adrenaline at Action Zone
This is one of Abu Dhabi’s most fun-filled indoor play centres, with plenty of zones hosting different activities to suit different tastes, and fun things to do with kids of all ages. Kids can try out any of the zones, including Kidzone, which houses ball pools, obstacle courses and climbing areas, while tots will enjoy the Little Stars zone, fully equipped with a motion sand table, dress up area, reading corner, VR colouring games, and more. There’s also a trampoline zone for kids aged three and up, and a VR zone for older kids with the latest in gaming. So kids of all ages can burn energy without burning up. Bring on the weekend fun!

Watch a family film at VOX Cinemas
Because little ones can’t sit still for long, there’s Kids at VOX Cinemas where they will be glued to their luxurious vibrant coloured cinema seat throughout whatever family blockbuster is showing. And there are plenty of films on at the moment to keep them hooked including Paw Patrol: The Movie, Jungle Cruise and the recently-released Dogtanian and the Three Muskhounds.
