The National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) has announced new guidelines for residents returning to the UAE from July 1.
In June it was announced that UAE residents would be permitted to travel overseas.
In addition, the UAE government announced plans to bring back thousands of residents stranded overseas due to travel restrictions put in place to stop the spread of COVID-19.
Guidelines for returning have previously been issued for residents in Abu Dhabi and in Dubai.
Before returning to the UAE, residents are required to meet health and safety guidelines before booking any travel arrangements.

According to a tweet from the NCEMA, all UAE citizens must get a COVID-19 test at an approved medical facility within 72 hours of travelling to the UAE.
A list of all approved medical centres will be share on the ICA website www.smartservices.ica.gov.ae in the coming days.
Those without a valid negative COVID-19 test will not be permitted to board a plane.
Testing facilities are available in 17 countries, residents in countries without approved centres will be given a test upon arrival at Dubai Airport.
Those getting tested in the UAE upon return will be expected to quarantine for 14 days at home or at an approved ‘institution’, with all costs being covered by the individual, or in some cases, by the individual’s employer.
All returning residents are also required to download a certified mobile app to monitor their health and safety upon returning to the UAE.
