Careem expands city to city transport services in the UAE

Need to get from A to B?

Ride hailing service Careem has expanded its city-to-city services in the UAE.

Back in October Careem announced new intercity services linking Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Now, if you need to travel to another emirate you can book a ride through the mobile application and travel between the cities.

The service, which was previously only available between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, has now expanded to include Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Al Ain.

As always, Careem users will be able to book a variety of car types to reach the destination of their choice.

Intercity rides with Careem start from Dhs70.

“Careem is excited to announce the expansion of its City to City ride-hailing service as a part of the ongoing efforts to improve the everyday lives of the Careem customer,” said Victor Kiriakos-Saad, general manager at Careem UAE.

“We at Careem continue to find opportunities to enhance our customer experience and therefore the launch of the extended service comes as a part of a Careem scheme to offer simplified transportation to all residents and visitors.

“From the successful launch of the Abu Dhabi to Dubai route, Careem will now introduce five additional Emirates in which customers can travel between using Careem ride-hailing, these being Sharjah, Ajman, Ras AL Khaimah, Fujairah and Al Ain.”

Travelling to Abu Dhabi? You’ll need to present a negative COVID-19 test result at the border taken within the past 72 hours.
