The winter season is almost upon us, the weather is cooling off (finally) and you know what that means – it’s time to take your plans outside at Cinema in the Park.
Umm Al Emarat Park is one of our favourite spots for a picnic, game of Frisbee, or stroll in the sun. Did you know you can also catch an outdoor movie there?
Cinema in the Park is coming back for another season from Friday November 3 with box-office blockbusters on the outdoor screen in the Children’s Garden.
There is an exciting lineup of kid-friendly films at Cinema in the Park such as Coco, Frozen, Aladdin, Home, Ice Age, Shrek, Rio and Ratatouille. Movies will be screened at Cinema in the Park from Friday to Saturday each week at 6.30pm and 8.30pm.
The cinema is free to attend, but the seats available will be on a first-come, first-serve basis, so you better get there early to secure your spot.

Need another reason to visit? While movie buffs enjoy the films, Park Rangers will be available to help children create masterpieces at the origami stations. Kids two years and older can also enjoy the water splash area or hop aboard the family-friendly train at the Promenade.
Animal-lovers will enjoy the animal barn, where you can feed the animals and little ones can go on a pony or camel ride. Talk about cute.
Did you know there’s a running track at Umm Al Emarat Park? Stretch your legs and get your heart-rate moving over a 1.2km green jogging track that snakes from the promenade to the amphitheatre, flanked by palm trees and plants.
