Expo 2020 will shine a light on Earth Hour on Saturday March 26 by turning off the lights in each pavilion.
WWF International launched Earth Hour in 2007 and it encourages people to switch off all non-essential electricity for an hour to raise awareness for climate change and nature loss.
As part of the Switch Off Parade in collaboration with Emirates Nature WWF, each pavilion will, one by one, switch off the lights and be cloaked in darkness for an entire minute to mark Earth Hour.

The parade will start from 8:30pm, starting at the Peruvian pavilion in will end at 9:30pm at the UK pavilion. The Dubai Police marching band will lead the parade around the Expo 2020 campus, as each pavilion turns off their lights for one whole minute.
This is set to be an incredible sight.
Emirates Nature WWF is also inviting nature enthusiasts to attend its Nature at Night adventure.
Participants will go to Sharjah’s Nazwa Desert for three hours following sunset to help the organisation map biodiversity in the area as well as looking out for nocturnal animals such as scorpions, bats and owls.
Emirates Nature WWF hopes the data collected from the event will help support conservation efforts and the activity is intended to support their non-profit’s objective to protect 30 percent of the UAE’s wild areas by 2030.
