World Cup daytrippers can now apply for Hayya Card

All you need is your travel details

Earlier this year, regional airlines announced hundreds of daily shuttle flights bringing football fans into Qatar for World Cup matches without having to book an overnight stay.

And now these daytrippers can apply for their Hayya Card.

If you’re not familiar with the Hayya Card, the card grants entry into the state of Qatar, entry into stadiums (for those with a valid match ticket), and free access to public transport.

It is essential that all visitors arriving in Qatar between November 1, 2022, and January 23, 2023, apply for one before arrival.

Previously, Hayya Card applications could not be completed by fans without accommodation.

As of today (Monday August 15), daytrippers can apply for their Hayya Card with just their travel details.

Shuttle flights will be running from cities across the GCC, including 60-a-day from the UAE, 40 from Saudi Arabia, 48 flights from Oman and 16 flights from Kuwait.

flydubai, Kuwait Airlines, Oman Air, Qatar Airways and Saudia are operating the shuttle flights, and you can book flights now.

No matter where you’re flying from, round-trip tickets are priced at US$258 in economy, and US$998 in business.
