The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale is back in Dubai this month

Get mega bargains on a million books at the event in Dubai Studio City

It’s big, it’s brilliant and it’s back in all its former glory. Hurrah! The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale is coming to Dubai this month, with more than one million incredible bargains ready to go.

Book worms clear your schedules now.

The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale will last for a whopping 11 days, as it runs from Thursday April 14 to Sunday April 24 at Dubai Studio City’s Sound Stage.

Bringing more than one million books with up to a massive 90 percent discount, bibliophiles are right to be excited. For it’s a truth universally acknowledged (in the UAE at least) that books are expensive.

The books will span a variety of genres including chick-lit, horror, classics, cookery and children’s titles. Though they’ll mostly be in English there will be some Arabic and French books on sale too.

Expect tables piled high with books, so grab yourselves a trolley and set aside some serious time for browsing and buying.

Helming from Malaysia, Big Bad Wolf Books was launched in 2009 by Andrew Yap and Jaqueline Ng as part of their mission to cultivate a love of reading across the world. So far taking on 34 cities including Hong Kong, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines and UAE, they promise that no two visits to the sale will be the same.

During the pandemic, the Big Bad Wolf Sale happened online in collaboration with Noon, but this year it returns in person at its former venue in Dubai Studio City.

So whether you’re a metro reader, night-time page-turner, or poolside chapter devourer, it’s time to restock the library.  After all, “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”

Thu 14 Apr to Sun 24 Apr, Sound Stage, Dubai Studio City (04 391 4664).
