From Time Out Abu Dhabi Eating Out 2010
At just Dhs46 per person, you won’t find a cheaper, non-toxic all-you-can-eat buffet in the city, and, as far as bargain feedbags go, this is a decent restaurant. It’s certainly popular. On a Friday night, Al Ibrahimi must fuel half the city’s Indian and Pakistani community, all lured by the promise of biryani by the barrel load and a bustling atmosphere to match. The food is simple fare: grilled chicken, the aforementioned biryani and, err, brains make up the bulk of the menu, with also a few ‘Chinies Specialties’ (sic) thrown in for good measure. The more timid can of course opt for the curried lentils, which come accompanied by huge discs of fresh bread (the Electra St restaurant has an accompanying bakery next door). For the bargain price, the quality is pretty good – certainly the regulars seem undeterred. Don’t let snobbery put you off, this is a great little place for a cheap, tasty meal.
