Citrus is the Millennium Hotel’s answer to all day dining, and is nestled right in the hotel’s entrance in a small, elevated area off the lobby. It’s an easily overlooked eatery to be fair, but for value for money, comfort and touch of class, the restaurant deserves to be more popular. It’s decidedly average, but the occasional buffet item breaks from the mediocre mould and into the ranks of greatness, and it holds a modest spread: mezzeh, curries, barbecued meats and the occasional creative twist on a typical dish. The dessert and bread sections are equally average, but offerings are fresh and well-prepared, so while they won’t blow you away with choices, they won’t leave you wanting much more either. Add to that a great, relaxed atmosphere, genuinely friendly staff, a touch of class in the service and setting, and you’ve got yourself a dependable winner. Head there whenever you need to refuel, and save your weekends for something special.
