District 10

A cool café serving excellent coffee

District 10
District 10

Coffee is a big deal in Abu Dhabi. Its history is long in the Arabic world, but things have certainly changed since the 15th century. Indeed we’re on to the ‘third wave’ of coffee now (meaning it’s now treated as an artisanal product, not just something to perk you up of a morning). What does that mean for us and you? There are more places like District 10 in the capital, that’s what.

Found in the Khalifa Park area of TwoFour54 (yes, it’s close to our office, which makes it even more handy), District 10 is next to Notes Cafe, which offers a lighter, brighter cafe experience. Here at District 10 (D10, for short), the interiors are perfect for those who like to document their eating and drinking experiences on Instagram. There are cool pictures on the stripped-back walls, eclectic reading materials on the tables and a menu of coffee with things like ‘V60’ and ‘Chemex’ on it. The options will please any coffee connossieur, with a special shout out for the pistachio latte, which has a nutty taste running through it and a base of pistachios towards the end of the cup.

When it comes to food, there are Japanese cheesecakes, brownies and more sweet things, alongside sandwiches and filled croissants. It’s not a huge selection, but what it there does the job very well.
