Elegant, characterful and unobtrusive, the interior here has a dark, glossy finish, sleek monochrome square upholstery and sunset-red lanterns that glow like dying embers. It’s the right side of moody, and the kind of intimate ambience that if bottled could be sold to ailing eateries for a pretty penny. The waiters are discreet, amiable and highly knowledgeable about the ingredients on the menu, which features plenty of well-loved classics. The mark of a good place is when you send the waiter away five or six times because you simply cannot choose for fear of missing out on something. Expect to do just that at Armani Caffé.
