Paradiso Nicole et Pierre

A chic Cannes restaurant on the gleaming shores of Yas Bay Waterfront

Cannes meets the capital. We have pretty much every cuisine and fusion you can think of in Abu Dhabi, but there aren’t too many restaurants that focus on Croisette dining. Paradiso Nicole et Pierre does, and then some.

The relative newcomer at Yas Bay Waterfront draws inspiration from the chi-chi corner of the Mediterranean, where its original outpost is.

Paradiso is helmed by Nicole Rubi, the original founder of global French fine dining brand LPM, and renowned chef Pierre Gagnaire so expectations are set suitably high.

An homage to the Mediterranean, specifically the coastal regions of Italy and France, along with the world of cinema, Paradiso Nicole et Pierre is about bringing a refined and welcoming ambiance to its slice of Yas Bay.

The restaurant’s extensive terrace and frequent live music performances will likely draw guests and so should the menu, made up of signatures devised by the two chefs.

Paradiso’s patio is clearly a favoured place to sit, with its views of the water, but the sun-drenched interior, with its colourful maps and movie references, is beautifully executed. (Same goes for the grissini, bread basket and olives.)

Most mains will set you back less than Dhs200 and pizzas range from Dhs70 to Dhs130. Whatever you do, be sure to save room for the Frosted Lemon Paradiso to complete your meal (and photo opps).

With a few improvements to service, Paradiso could be on to a shore thing at Yas Bay.
