Sannine

Tourist Club Area

From Time Out Abu Dhabi Eating Out 2010

Sannine is small and cosy, although it’s seen better days. The take-out section at the front is probably its best asset and its biggest attraction as it certainly has more patronage than the restaurant area. The staff are polite, but this doesn’t really make up for the lack of atmosphere. The menu offers a selection of standard Lebanese dishes such as hot and cold appetisers, seafood and charcoal grills. The mixed grill with lamb, chicken and beef isn’t as plentiful as other Lebanese restaurants around town, nor is it as fresh, or of as high a quality as similar establishments, which could explain the lack of customers while other eateries in the area are full. Its shawarmas do, however, rate a special mention. Served steaming hot, loaded with chicken or lamb, and not over powered by too much garlic sauce, they are just perfect and the primary reason to visit Sannine.
