But inside it is surprisingly tranquil; sturdily kitted out in polished wood and very dimly lit – so much so, in fact, that in the evenings, the menus come equipped with reading lights. The food enjoys a mixed success; starters are very good, if on the large side, with the risotto and seafood soup being particularly hearty. However mains miss the mark, with some unusual and not always successful combinations – especially where sides are concerned. The dessert menu has some interesting options that, unfortunately, also fail to satisfy. Still, from its lofty vantage point you can at least enjoy some spectacular views.
