The main thing we appreciate about Vasco’s is its lively and good spirited crowd. With a terrace overlooking the Corniche and a small bar along with a dining room, it’s a place to come with friends or family and enjoy the atmosphere. The menu is what you’d call ‘multinational’, with cuisines from the Mediterranean, Italy and India all present. One of our favourite dishes is the dahl, which has to be sampled. Our one complaint is the rather meagre salad bar, which could use more imagination and ingredients. Nevertheless, the food is surprisingly refined, with a delicacy and sophistication that you wouldn’t expect. In short, we think this is one of the best restaurants in the city.
