Zaitoun does modern Italian very well, with melt-in-the-mouth goat’s cheese, imaginative antipasto (like prawn and kiwi fruit), sizeable pastas and decent house plonk. The setting is low lit, and the decor a kind of modern European with Arabic hints. It’s very comfortable, and a welcome culinary surprise so far from the big city.
