Love to cycle? Is one of your favourite things to hop on your bike and take in the beautiful sights of Abu Dhabi? The capital is getting a brand-new cycling track that has us ready to put on our helmet and check out the beautiful route.
The Abu Dhabi Loop will have 109km of brand-new cycling track, which will connect attractions all around Abu Dhabi for a truly incredible bicycle ride. (Exercise has never been so fun or picturesque.)

In addition to the new cycling trail in the capital, a new 3,500-seater velodrome is being built on Hudayriat Island [http://dev.timeoutabudhabi.com/area-guides/al-hudayriat-island] for track-racing facilities.
The announcement of the Hudayriat velodrome also revealed there will be community events and Abu Dhabi will host international biking experiences.
The United Arab Emirates capital has been confirmed to host the 2022 and 2024 UCI Urban Cycling World Championships and 2028 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships.

Abu Dhabi already has world-class cycling facilities and the newest additions to the cycling scene will further encourage people to pick up their bikes, strap on their helmets (safety first) and enjoy pedalling around our beautiful city.
This news about Abu Dhabi’s latest cycling facilities in perfect because the Abu Dhabi Media Office revealed that the UAE’s capital is the first city in Asia to get the title of “City of Bicycles” from the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI).
Abu Dhabi joins others bike-friendly cities from around the world that have received UCI’s title including Paris, Glasgow and Copenhagen.
In celebration of Abu Dhabi being named a “Cycling City,” Bike Abu Dhabi has launched. The platform is focused on the emirates’ long-term cycling goals and making it a leading global cycling hub.
