Cool off with a scoop or two at Yas Mall

During the summer, whether you’re a tot or an adult, there’s nothing quite like a cooling scoop of ice cream. As part of Abu Dhabi’s Summer of Ice Cream by Abu Dhabi Culinary, they’ve only gone and launched an entire lab dedicated to the good stuff at Yas Mall. UK brand DYCE will be on show, displaying some Insta-tastic ice creams. Right next to them, the Parlor Boutique will bring all the French flair and panache to the table.

Prove yourself a champ with BMX and skateboarding at Circuit X Abu Dhabi

With more quarter pipes, bowls, ledges and rails than one can ask for, Circuit X is the go-to for skateboarding in Abu Dhabi. Bring your mates or go it alone with one of the park’s many packages. Need a skateboard or scooter? They’ve got you covered. For both the casual and hardcore skater, this uber cool skatepark is sure to not disappoint. Score pints and nachos with a view

How does a pint and heap of the most essential bar bites in the world for Dhs75 sound? Good? We thought so. At Yas Links Beach Golf Club, you can get all of the above with a view as well. You heard right – a pint of your favorite hops, a mountain of nachos with all the fix-ins and a stunning backdrop of a lush, green golf course. Tasty.
Until Aug 31. 11am-10:30pm. Yas Island, Yas West troonabudhabi.com/yas-links (02 404 3000).

Friday

Head down to Montauk for a late brekky or early lunch

Craving good ol’ avo on toast? Well, lovers of late morning brekkie, look no further. Montauk on Al Khaleej Street serves a mean avocado and beetroot toast, fit for the early birds and those who like sleeping in, too. Watching your intake? There are plenty of gluten-free, vegetarian and low fat dishes for you to try out. Done and done.

At Cobra Fitness, you can unleash your inner fighter in whatever discipline you’d like; whether it’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai or even boxing. With this space’s motto being “push till ya spew,” it’s no surprise that the trainers, although friendly, will push you to your limits. As for the HIIT sessions, expect a flurry of strength and conditioning exercises. Just remember not to skip leg day.

Tackle the heat with Diablito’s cheddar burger

Enjoy a burger with whopping vistas on the side at this swanky Mediterranean joint overlooking the circuit. Diablito is known for its true-to-form Greek salad and selection of nachos. But now the spotlight is on their cheddar burger. It’s topped with a fried egg, red onion chutney, lettuce, tomatoes, Jalapeños, lime mayo and pickles. Yeah, all of them. Take a bite while you still can because the burger is out of here at summer’s end. If the bite’s a bit too hot, wash it down with a house bevvy for just Dhs75.
Until Aug 31. Open 3pm-12am. Building 6A, Yas Marina yasmarina.ae/dine/mediterranean/diablito-food-and-music (02 565 1775).
