Twelve cool things to do in Abu Dhabi this weekend

You can take a walk under Louvre Abu Dhabi’s dome for free once a week

Take a stroll, have a photoshoot or chill out

There’s nothing like Louvre Abu Dhabi.

The building alone is iconic, stunning and awe-inspiring no matter how many time you see it up close.

Offering you the chance to stand beneath the dome, Louvre Abu Dhabi has launched a new weekly initiative to invite people to visit the museum.

Every Wednesday evening Louvre Abu Dhabi will open to the public as the sun sets.

No reservation is needed to visit and you can walk around inside the museum to check out the outdoor artworks and stare at the amazing architecture.

From 6.30pm until 9pm you can take some pictures, stroll around, have conversations with friends or visit Fouquet’s Abu Dhabi.

Access to the museum’s collection and exhibitions is not included (you can’t have it all) but it’s a cool place to meet up once a week in the capital.

Speaking of exhibitions, a brand new abstract exhibition is set to open at the museum on Wednesday February 17.
Giving you even more to see, works by iconic artists have also been added to the permanent collection including paintings by Van Gogh and Monet.

Plus, you can now even do yoga classes at the museum every week if you want to strike a pose somewhere a little bit different to your standard studio.

We’re definitely going to head along on a Wednesday to snap a few selfies.
Free. Wed 6.30pm-9pm. Louvre Abu Dhabi, Saadiyat Island www.louvreabudhabi.ae.
