Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways launches special flights to India’s Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru

Special passenger flights to operate from August 21

Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways has announced it will operate a series of special passenger flights from Abu Dhabi to Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru from Friday August 21.

Flights from Abu Dhabi to Mumbai will operate from August 21, 23 and 24, departing at 9.25pm, and to Delhi on August 23 at 10.15pm.

There will be one flight to Bengaluru on August 21 at 7.55pm.

The flagship airline has stated that only permanent residents of the following Indian states are permitted to travel to the following cities:

Bengaluru: State of Karnataka
Delhi: States of Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan
Mumbai: State of Maharashtra

Flights must be booked at least 24 hours in advance, and travellers flying to India are required to show a negative COVID-19 PCR test result from a government accredited medical facility, received within 96 hours prior to departure.

Recently, the UAE government announced a new set of rules for returning residents, allowing UAE residents to fly back to the country without the need to apply for government approval.
