Try dishes by a Michelin-starred French chef at this pop-up event

The four-day experience is happening at the Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri

Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi is hosting a Michelin-starred French Chef, Baptiste Renouard, for a pop-up event at Bord Eau.

Looking for a must-try foodie event in the capital? Abu Dhabi is chock full of awesome places to eat, including brand new restaurants and loads of spots coming soon. Now there’s a talented Michelin-starred chef who’s bringing an exclusive five-course set menu to Abu Dhabi.

Head to Bord Eau at Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, where the five-course menu will be available from Wednesday December 8 to Saturday December 11 at 7pm. It’s Dhs388 per person with soft drinks and Dhs576 per person with a grape pairing. The chef will also host daily cooking classes in Bord Eau’s kitchen from 1pm to 3pm for Dhs158 per person with a maximum of five participants.

The five-course menu kicks off with an amuse-bouche, followed by a tarte tatin with turnips and puffed buckwheat. The main course includes snacked scallops with butternut and fresh black truffles, plus Australian beef tenderloin. Dessert is the chef’s signature dish and is followed by fruit mousse tartlets and buckwheat Paris-brest.

Chef Baptiste Renouard was trained at the prestigious Ferrandi school and supervised by the greatest chefs from a young age. Since 2019, he has been working in his own restaurant: the Ochre, in Rueil-Malmaison, France which was recently awarded a Michelin Star in 2021.

Shangri-La’s culinary master series will take place from December 2021 until Ramadan 2022, and will bring celebrity and Michelin-starred chefs to Abu Dhabi from across the world. Watch this space.
