If there’s one new spot that everyone in Abu Dhabi has been flocking to lately, it’s Mamsha Al Saadiyat. The new development on Saadiyat Island features the white sands of Soul Beach, deep blue ocean views and a promenade with gorgeous restaurants to choose from.

Head to Mamsha Al Saadiyat any night of the week and you’re likely to see families strolling along, swimmers washing the sand off their feet after a long day in the sun, and people from all across the city enjoying an al fresco meal at one of the fabulous restaurants.

Alkalime

This boho spot at Mamsha is all about food that makes you feel good. Take in the beauty of Soul Beach while sipping an artisanal coffee or chowing down on some delicious healthy food. There are tonnes of vegetarian and vegan options, including a cauli-pizza and seasonal salads.

Antonia

A little glam, a little retro – Antonia brings the streets of Rome to Abu Dhabi at Mamsha. On the menu you’ll find pasta, a selection of pizza al taglio with traditional toppings, Italian grape, hops and more. The pizza is made with rustic Italian flour and olive oil, baked in rectangular trays and loaded with toppings. You can also choose from a selection of antipasti, organic salads and suppli (Rome’s famous street food). There are vegan options, too.

Beirut Sur Mer

Beautiful interiors and picture-perfect views, Beirut Sur Mer is one of the darlings of Mamsha (we’re serious, you definitely need to book in advance with this place). Chow down on brilliant Lebanese plates with many menu options. Choose from cold mezze, hot mezze, moreish mains and delicious desserts. This one is an easy choice, just be sure to plan a walk afterwards.

Black Tap

With mega shakes (that’s an understatement) and the kind of burgers that give your jaw a proper workout, Black Tap’s recent arrival in Mamsha is making serious waves. The viral NY hipster burger and CrazyShakes has landed next to Soul Beach. Besides the super delicious combo of patties and sweets, the plates emanating from this hyped kitchen are very much in the must-be-grammed category. No matter when you go, you’ll be greeted by thumping beats and jovial staff.

Coffee Architecture

There are few words better than specialty coffee, especially when that coffee comes with a side of Saadiyat ocean views. Coffee Architecture is all about seriously good beans. Head there for a morning wake up call, midday slump-buster or get caffeinated at night (as is the Abu Dhabi way). The minimalist menu is mostly about the coffee but you can also get a slice of cake, brioche, cookie or brownie to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Ethr Design & Coffee

Want to feel really cool while you sip an espresso? Ethr is a design studio and coffee house that exudes hip vibes. Inside, the space acts as a showroom for the studio’s latest collections, and is an open space for creatives to get together and talk about art. Feeling hungry? There are desserts and pastries on the menu, including a saffron milk cake.

Local Mamsha

Haircare, boutique shopping and the all-important caffeine buzz. Local has opened a new branch on Saadiyat. Local Mamsha houses quirky brands that are hard to find in the UAE, such as Kinto Japan, Grown Alchemist and Salt & Stone. You go there for a trendy new cut and find yourself with an armful of awesome products and a cool café experience that includes T-shirts, slides, sunglasses and more for sale.

Pickl

Dubai’s beloved homegrown burger joint (and a favourite at Time Out Market Dubai) Pickl is open at Mamsha. The menu is all about “simple, not basic” burgers with ingredients of the highest quality, including the homemade pickles. There’s the fiery Nashville chicken sando (a social media favourite for its eye-watering spiciness and ‘gram-worthiness) and famous double bacon cheeseburger with double chuck patty, beef bacon, secret sauce, cheese and house pickles on a potato bun to try. But vegetarians, don’t despair, the Impossible burger is there for you.

Raclette Brasserie & Café

Fine French fare in the middle of Mamsha Al Saadiyat, is there anything more glam? Hold onto your beret, there are an array options to choose from. Head to Raclette for breakfast and you’ll find every kind of egg you could ask for, including a special benedict “version raclette” with poached eggs on a crepe roulade stuffed with spinach, mushroom, Scottish smoked salmon and tarragon béarnaise. There for dinner? Try one of the signature raclette (yes) dishes.

Ten 11 Beach

With beachy vibes, a casual atmosphere and extra-friendly service, you’re going to feel like you’re walking into a surf shack when you go to Ten 11 Beach. Sit on the terrace this winter to take in the full effect of the view.

The Steak Room

Calling all carnivores. Looking for a place to get a fine cut of meat? Enter The Steak Room. There’s a range of salads and starters to whet your appetite including empanadas, gyoza, skepasti and short rib baos. But most people go for the steak, naturally. Choices include angus short ribs, tenderloin rossini, rib-eye and lamb chops, along with an assortment of sides.
