Otoro Al Qana
Six awesome new restaurants are coming to Al Qana

Chef Akmal Anuar’s Otoro opens in Al Qana

Enjoy quirky sushi, specialty rolls and marina views at the 100-seat restaurant

Looking for a brand new Japanese restaurant in Abu Dhabi? Otoro is now open in the capital. We’ve been waiting to try chef Akmal Anuar’s Otoro since it was first announced that the popular Dubai eatery was coming to one of Abu Dhabi’s up-and-coming neighbourhoods: Al Qana.

The new restaurant in Al Qana is soft-launching today: Wednesday March 23. Otoro is open daily from noon to 11pm and there are no reservations required, just roll up (sorry, not sorry). Otoro Abu Dhabi seats 100 people indoors and outdoors in its chic minimalist space. If you sit outside, soak up the prime Al Qana Marina views.

The new Abu Dhabi restauarant features an outdoor terrace and open sushi bar. The interiors are an eclectic mix of minimalist designs and circular patterns, plus, screens that divide the space.

Wondering what’s on the Otoro Abu Dhabi menu? Otoro is serving up wagyu steaks, quirky sushi rolls, specialty rolls, and a sharing menu with a dynamic ambiance. It’s headed by chef Akmal Anuar, the brains behind Dubai restaurants such as Goldfish and 11 Woodfire.

Al Qana

Al Qana Marina recently opened for boat and yacht owners to park their vessels. Annual membership at the new marina gets boat owners exclusive offers on memberships to The National Aquarium and The Bridge Lifestyle Hub as well as discounts on spa treatments and culinary experiences across the area.

The new development will soon be home to the largest standalone cinema complex in Abu Dhabi and will feature a huge lifestyle centre with state-of-the-art facilities, running and cycling paths, a dedicated space for kids, a virtual reality zone, e-sports arena, water sports and activities such as kayaking and paddle boarding and more.

The National Aquarium opened late last year at Al Qana and features a shark dive experience that thrill-seekers absolutely need on their radar. You don’t need a scuba diving license to get into the tank.

Open daily noon-11pm. Al Qana instagram.com/otoro.ad, alqana.ae.
