Ramadan 2022: have a unique iftar with lions at Al Ain Zoo

Looking for a gourmet Iftar experience that you’re guaranteed not to forget? Ramadan 2022 is around the corner and Al Ain Zoo is serving up a unique experience: iftar with lions.

Enjoy the ambiance of Al Ain Zoo’s African safari while breaking your fast. First up, you’ll be taken on a sunset tour of Al Ain Safari before you break your fast on the edge of lion territory.

The activity has limited availability and a minimum price that must be booked and paid at least 48 hours in advance. The price is Dhs840 per person with a minimum of four and a maximum of 12 people. The experience is available for kids over 12 years old only.

If you’ve ever pictured yourself having dinner with the king of the jungle, here’s your chance. Regular safari tours are available throughout the month.

Al Ain Zoo was founded in 1968 by the late H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and is the ultimate family destination. There you’ll find entertainment and learning experiences for kids and big kids alike.

The animal collection includes more than 4,000 animals, with giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, penguins, lemurs and of course lions. It has made notable contributions to the conservation of desert antelopes and gazelles, such as the endangered Arabian Oryx.

Al Ain Zoo has joined many distinguished international and local conservation organizations, and are members of the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA) and the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria (EAZA).

Late last year, Al Ain Zoo introduced a regular dine with lions activity, with hippopotamus stories, cheetah races and lemur walks all incoming.
